Bell Works Tubes
installation by Ron Arad with Moroso
New Jersey, USA
Bell Works is the reimagination of New Jersey’s historic Bell Labs research laboratory. The building develops around the idea of a metroburb: a single multifunctional center for business and culture, with offices, stores, restaurants, and public areas.
Bell Works Tubes is a site-specific furniture project for the atrium, created by designer Ron Arad in partnership with Moroso. The project’s management was assigned to planBstudio. 141 elements can be seen in 7 different sizes and fabrics.
The goal was to create a collective space able to blend with the building’s historicity and be simultaneously artistic and functional.
