Bardot

In the Old Town and the historic center of Trieste, we find Bardot , a space dedicated to research in fashion design. We are in one of the oldest districts, Cavana, recently turned into a pedestrian area. Among neoclassical buildings and archaeological finds of the Roman Age, small streets lead to shops, craft workshops, cafes, and other realities that add a sophisticated, lively, and unique look to the area.

In this setting, Isabella Bullo opened her Bardot concept store back in 2013. It is not just a boutique but also a narrative environment in which the owner’s vision is expressed through a selection of niche and emerging brands. Since its inauguration, Bardot’ s atmosphere has increasingly oriented towards a style that recalls Parisian bohemian elegance. In 2019 planBstudio carried out a real restyling project. A black wall panel leads towards the second half of the shop through an arch; the decoration runs along the perimeter, contrasting with the white walls. The alternation of the two colors highlights the pre-existing niches as displays. Therefore the setting appears to be essential, clean and gives a nod to industrial design that perfectly complements the variety of the items and objects presented. The essentiality of Bardot’s window displays is interrupted by a suspended corner vase, custom-designed and made of oxidized iron in collaboration with the manufacturing laboratory Industrie Delamont in Pordenone.
